A unique drawing of wild azaleas. The delicate individual flowers are clustered into flower heads, giving the subject an other-worldly look. What most attracted me to this flower is the eye-catching appearance of the abundant up-curled stamens…almost like insect antennae! A very dark background adds some extra drama.

Materials used: Copic Multiliner pens on Strathmore 500 plate bristol. Size of original: 10-1/2″ X 7-3/8″.
