Snowy owls are familiar predators of the Arctic tundra. The largest of all north American owls, their plumage varies from white in mature males to barred in females and immature birds. The face, with its piercing yellow eyes, is always white. Unlike other owls, they are diurnal hunters. Pen and ink is perfect for capturing the owl’s dramatic plumage.

Materials used: Pigma Micron pens, india ink and dip pens on Strathmore 500 plate bristol. Size of original: 10″ X 13″.
