Peonies hold endless fascination for me. I was especially drawn to this pair with their abundance of twisted, rumpled, crowded petals. Intricate line work highlights the delicate petals and textured centers, conveying a sense of lushness and complexity. The monochromatic scheme emphasizes the fine details and shading, enhancing the depth and realism of these garden favorites set against a dramatic dark background.
Materials used: Copic Multiliner and Sakura Micron pens on Strathmore 500 plate bristol. Size of original: 6-3/8″ X 9″.
