A dramatic pen and ink rendering of a traditional old-fashioned garden staple. Flower lovers will recognize the cheerful open-faced blooms growing from tall-upright stalks…sometimes reaching over 5 feet in height. They are biennials, but are often considered perennials because they re-seed very easily. The fanciful swirling background seemed an appropriate foil.

Materials used: Copic Multiliner pens on Strathmore 500 plate bristol. Size of original: 6-1/2″ X 9-3/8″.
